Hello and welcome to our blog! 
We are just in the beginning stages of getting this all together so please bear with us as we set everything up. Here are the answers to  few questions you may or may not have.

Why a blog ? 
Don't get us wrong Facebook it great, however unless you pay for adds or have a 10,000 plus likes it is hard to get noticed in people's feeds.  In addition to that Facebook is now trying to revamp after their data breech. One of their new algorithms will show friends and family over businesses. Which is great, but not for a small business looking to keep its followers in the loop. So we are turning to blogging. It will not replace our other social media account, but hopefully complement it. The added bonus with blogger is that you can sign up to follow us via email. It likely a little newsletter from us and hey it's free!

What will you post about?
Our blog posts will complement our Facebook or instagram posts. However, once we start harvesting produce we will be able to post more detailed pictures and descriptions on here vs Facebook. In the weeks to come you'll be able to click the tabs above and find what's currently available as well as preorders.

We hope that all makes sense and we look forward to starting this new journey with you

  Our 2024 CSA is now open!! Click Here to join our mailing list. What is a CSA?  CSA stands for Community supported Agriculture. Producers give people options for fresh local food during harvest times. Typically a customer pays for the whole season well in advance of harvest to secure their share of the harvest.  However, to keep costs down for customers we are offering a weekly option instead.   What do you offer? For those who sign up to our list you will receive an email with an order form showing what we have available that week.  You will have the option to purchase individual items or our weekly boxes.   No prepaying for the whole season. However, weekly orders will have to be paid in full once they are confirmed. All orders will be first come first served. Hello again! We have been naughty bloggers and it has almost been a year since our last post. Why? well life is the short answer. The long answer is with all the social media platforms which do you focus on to bring in customers? We are not sure about the answer so we stuck to Facebook and Instagram. You can find links to both of our accounts on the left hand of your screen and at the end of this post Keeping a blog updated is a lot of work, especially if you are not sure if anyone is reading it..lol and extra especially if you tend to ramble. Nonetheless, we are going to try and start it up again. We are going to try and feature a recipe each week that includes something that we sell. Happy New year and garden plan

Happy New Year!! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here already! Where does the time go!  Here at Pickle Patch Gardens we are already starting to plan for this years growing season. It is a little hard to do when the garden looks like this. Yes, that is the garden behind the tractor rim in the middle of the picture. It is also hard to believe that this is a small amount of snow for winter out here. Unfortunately, we will likely have a lot more snow in the next couple of months. We need the moisture, but lots of snow is no fun either! So how do we plan for our 2019 growing season you ask?  Step 1 is to go over our notes from last year and see what worked and what did not. It will be a little hard to do this year due to the hail storm we had in June. However, we still have an idea. More on that in another post.
